The AT&T email uses two incoming mail servers --- POP3 or IMAP.

IMAP stands for Internet Message Access Protocol. It allows you to get a copy of all emails from the email server. POP3 stands for Post Office Protocol version 3. It is used to retrieve mail from a remote server to a local email client.

The AT&T mail incoming mail server settings are mentioned below.

  • Step : 1 On your computer, launch the Outlook app by double-clicking its shortcut icon on the desktop.

  • Step : 4 On the Auto Account Setup screen, select the Manual setup or additional server types option and click Next.

  • Step : 6 Now, you have to fill the required fields in the User Information, Server Information, and Logon Information sections.
  • Step : 7 Under the User Information section, enter the name you wish to use for your email account and then input your AT&T email address.
  • Step : 8 Under Server Information, you have to enter the AT&T incoming mail server details.
  • Step : 9 Choose either POP3 or IMAP as your account type from the drop-down menu.
  • Step : 10 In the Incoming mail server field, enter ‘’ if you have selected IMAP as your account type.
  • Step : 11 Otherwise, enter ‘’ in the Incoming mail server field.
  • Step : 12 In the Outgoing mail server field, enter ‘’ if your account type is IMAP. Otherwise, enter ‘’ as the outgoing mail server name.
