CenturyLink is one of the best email clients that provide add-on protection from unnecessary junk and spam emails. There are two types of CenturyLink email settings: the incoming and outgoing mail server settings. You can use IMAP or POP for incoming server settings and SMTP for outgoing server settings. If you are going to set up the Centurylink Email Settings on your device, just follow the below instructions carefully.

SERVER SETTINGS FOR CENTURYLINK MAIL

Before you start to configure the CenturyLink mail account in an email client, you must know the incoming and outgoing mail server details. Just follow the below incoming and outgoing server settings to complete the setup.

Imap Server Settings

Pop3 Server Settings

Configuring Centurylink Email Account In Outlook

  • Step :1First, launch the Outlook application on your computer.
  • Step :2Choose the File tab at the top-left corner of the window.
  • Step :3Select the Info section from the left menu panel and click the Add Account button under Account information.
  • Step :4Click Manual setup or additional server types in the Add Account window and click the Next button.
  • Step :5Here, select the POP or IMAP option from the list and click Next.
  • Step :6Under the User Information section, enter your name and CenturyLink email address into the respective field.
  • Step :7Next, go to the Server Information section and click on the Account Type field and choose the option you want to use.
  • Step :8Refer to the above server details and complete the Server Information settings.
  • Step :9Under the Logon Information section, enter the user name and password into the respective field.
  • Step :10Click the More Settings button on the right side of the window.
  • Step :11Select the Outgoing Server tab at the top of the dialog box.
  • Step :12Here, make a tick mark in the “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication” checkbox and click “Use same settings as my incoming...” from the list.
  • Step :13Click on the Advanced tab at the top of the window.
  • Step :14Now, refer to the above server details to complete the incoming and outgoing port settings.
  • Step :15Click the OK and Next buttons.
  • Step :16In the Test Account Settings dialog box, click the Close button.
  • Step :17Finally, click on the Finish button.

Setting Up Centurylink Email Account On Iphone

  • Step : 1 From the home screen of your iPhone, touch the Settings icon.
  • Step : 2 Scroll down the screen and select the Mail option from the list of settings
  • Step : 3 Tap the Accounts option from the list.
  • Step : 4 Touch the Add Account option.
  • Step : 5 Select the Other option, and tap Add Mail Account under the MAIL section.
  • Step : 6 Now, enter your name, email address, password, and description on the New Account page.
  • Step : 7 After entering all the credentials, tap the Next button to proceed.
  • Step : 8 Wait for some time to complete the setup.
  • Step : 9 If the CenturyLink mail does not configure automatically, choose the incoming server you want to use (IMAP or POP) at the top of the screen.
  • Step : 10 Now, enter the incoming and outgoing server details by referring to the above server settings.
  • Step : 11 Once completed, tap the Save button at the top-right corner of the screen.
