Step : 10 Click the Advanced tab and check the This server required an encrypted connection SSL checkbox.
Step : 11 Select the SSL option from the drop-down menu next to Use the following type of encrypted connection.
Step : 12 Verify whether you have entered correct port numbers in the Incoming server and Outgoing server (SMTP) fields.
Step : 13 Click the Outgoing Server tab and check the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication checkbox.
Step : 14 Select the Use the same settings as my incoming mail server option and click the OK button.
Step : 15 Click the Next button followed by Close. This will close the Account Settings window.
Step : 16 Now, restart the Outlook app and check if the problem has been resolved.
Step : 17 If the problem persists, remove your Cox email account from the Outlook app and add it again with correct server settings.
