For the incoming server, you can either use the IMAP or POP setting and for the outgoing server, you can use the SMTP setting. So, before you start to configure your cPanel email account with Outlook, you need to check the IMAP and other server settings on your cPanel account. Check The Imap Settings On Your Cpanel Account

  • Step : 1 Launch the browser on your computer and navigate to the official website of cPanel mail.
  • Step : 2 Log in to the account using your cPanel email address and password.
  • Step : 3 Go to the Mail menu and select the Email Accounts option.
  • Step : 4 In the next window, navigate to your email account and click on the Connect Devices button.
  • Step : 5 Under the Mail Client Manual Settings section, you can find the incoming and outgoing settings of your cPanel email account.

Server Settings Of Cpanel Email Account

Before you start to configure the cPanel email account in the Outlook application, you need to know the incoming and outgoing mail server details. Just follow the below incoming and outgoing server settings to complete the cPanel mail configuration in Outlook.

Incoming Server Details (imap)

  • Step :1Server address: imap.domainname.com
  • Step :2Port number: 993
  • Step :3Encrypted connection: SSL/TLS
  • Step :4User name: Your cPanel email address
  • Step :5Password: Your cPanel email password

Incoming Server Details (pop)

  • Step :1Server address: pop.domainname.com

Outgoing Server Details (smtp)

  • Step :1Server address: smtp.domainname.com

Configuring In Outlook Using Manual Setup

  • Step :1First, launch the Outlook application on your computer.
  • Step :2Choose the File tab located at the top-left corner of the window.
  • Step :3Select the Info section from the left menu panel and click the Add Account button under Account information
  • Step :4Click Manual setup or additional server types in the Add Account window and click the Next button.
  • Step :5Here, select the POP or IMAP option from the list and click the Next button.
  • Step :6Under the User Information section, enter your name and cPanel email address into the respective field.
  • Step :7In the Server Information section, click on the Account Type field and choose the option you want to use.
  • Step :8Refer to the above server details and complete the Server Information settings.
  • Step :9Under the Logon Information section, enter the user name and password into the respective fields.
  • Step :10Pick More Settings from the right side of the window.
  • Step :11Select the Outgoing Server tab at the top of the dialog box.
  • Step :12Here, choose the “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication” checkbox and click “Use same settings as my incoming” from the list.
  • Step :13Click the Advanced tab located at the top of the window.
  • Step :14Now, refer to the above server details to complete the incoming and outgoing port settings.
  • Step :15Once completed with all the settings, click the OK and Next buttons.
  • Step :16Finally, click on the Finish button.
