Fix: EM Client Not Working with Gmail


eM Client permits easy configuration and full synchronization with Gmail and Google Workspace. But sometimes, users have reported a problem stating that eM Client isn’t working with Gmail. Try changing the port: 

If eM Client isn’t working with Gmail, then you might try changing your ports. Sometimes, the problem can be related to the Outgoing SMTP port. To solve the problem, it’s advised to change SMTP to port 587 with TLS or to 25 with SSL. After changing the port, check if the problem still exists.

Allow access for less secure apps in Gmail:

Sometimes the issue we are discussing occurs because of certain features that are not enabled in Gmail. Not all email clients meet Gmail’s standards of security and if you want to use a third-party client, you might have to enable certain features.

If eM Client is not receiving emails, you might be able to fix this problem by doing the following:

  • Step : 3 An alternative method to do the same as follows:

  • Step : 6 Look for Signing in to Google and select 2-step verification and enable it.
  • Step : 7 A verification code will send to your registered mobile number. Enter the code in the field.
  • Step : 8 Remember that you might have issues enabling this feature if you have 2-step verification enabled. If that’s the case, you’ll need to use an application-specific password to fix the problem.
