Zoho Mail is one of the most used free webmail services as it provides advanced features and a user-friendly interface. You can configure your Zoho Mail account in any email client using IMAP or POP. If your Zoho mail IMAP server not responding in the email client (Outlook), check the IMAP server settings. In case you have enabled Two-Step Verification, you should enter the App-specific password for authentication. If your Zoho Mail is configured in the Microsoft Outlook app, go through the troubleshooting steps below.


  • Step : 1 Before you begin, log in to your Zoho Mail account and ensure that you have enabled IMAP access.
  • Step : 2 Next, launch the Outlook app by double-clicking its shortcut icon on the desktop.
  • Step : 3 Head to the top-left corner and click the File menu.
  • Step : 4 Select Info from the left-side panel and click the Account Settings tab twice.
  • Step : 5 In the Account Settings window, select your Zoho Mail account and click the Change button.
  • Step : 6 Go to the Incoming mail server section and verify that you have entered the correct mail server name.
  • Step : 7 Under Login Information, verify that you have entered the correct email address and password in the required fields.
  • Step : 8 In case your email account requires Two-factor authentication, input the app-specific password in the Password field.
  • Step : 9 If you enter the regular email password, your Zoho Mail IMAP server will not respond even if the server settings are correct.
  • Step : 10 Click on More Settings to open the Internet Email Settings window.
  • Step : 11 Click the Advanced tab and check whether you have entered the correct port numbers.
  • Step : 12 Click OK and then select Test Account Settings to verify the configured settings.
  • Step : 14 Once your account settings have been verified, restart Outlook and check if the problem has been resolved.
  • Step : 15 If still your Zoho mail IMAP server not responding, remove and reconfigure it.
